What's included with my 3DS system?
Every system from PowerUpPocket includes:
- Professionally refurbished and tested 3DS system
- Charging cable or charger (varies by inventory availability)
- Safe, secure packaging with bubble wrap
Each system is region-free and can play cartridges from any region. Specific cosmetic condition and features are detailed in each listing's description.
How do I place an order?
Simply browse the Shop page, select your desired 3DS system, and click "Buy Now" or "Add to Cart". Follow the checkout process to complete your order. I accept all major payment methods through Shopify's secure checkout.
Who runs PowerUpPocket?
Hi! I'm a solo creator with a background in programming and design. I previously worked as a government contractor, and these days I split my time between refurbishing retro handhelds and building apps. PowerUpPocket started as a passion project combining my love for gaming and technical work. Every system gets my personal attention from start to finish, and I'm always available if you have questions or concerns.
Which platforms do you sell on?
You can find PowerUpPocket systems on multiple platforms including this website (PowerUpPocket.com), eBay, Etsy, and Mercari. I'll also be selling on Whatnot soon! Each platform offers the same quality and attention to detail.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes, absolutely. All payments on PowerUpPocket.com are processed through Shopify's secure payment system. Your card details are encrypted and I never see or store your payment information. Shopify is PCI DSS compliant and uses industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
Do you offer custom shell designs?
Currently, I focus on refurbishing existing systems. However, I may offer custom shell options in the future if I can find quality production at an affordable rate. Check back or follow my shop for updates!
Are these authentic Nintendo systems?
Yes! All systems are genuine Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL, or New 3DS XL consoles. These are previously owned systems that have been professionally refurbished and thoroughly tested to ensure they work properly. You're getting authentic Nintendo hardware.
What condition are the systems in?
Each system is professionally cleaned, tested, and refurbished. These are previously owned consoles, so cosmetic condition varies from system to system. Some may show minor signs of wear, while others are in excellent condition. When shells have significant cosmetic damage, they are replaced with quality aftermarket shells. For regular 3DS systems with scratches, I carefully polish and buff what I can without causing further damage. Screens are only replaced if they're beyond usable condition. Otherwise, systems retain their original screens. Each listing includes a detailed description and photos showing the exact condition of that specific system.
Are your consoles in English?
Yes, all systems are set to English and ready to use right out of the package.
When will my order ship?
I ship orders quickly! Most orders placed during business hours ship the same day. Orders placed after hours typically ship the next business day. You'll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your package is on its way.
Do you provide tracking?
Absolutely. Every order includes tracking, which will be sent to your email once the package ships.
How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping typically takes 5-7 business days within the US. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout. International shipping times vary by location (usually 10-20 business days). You'll receive tracking information once your order ships.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! I ship worldwide. International shipping rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location. Please note that customs fees and import taxes may apply depending on your country's regulations.
How is my order packaged?
Your system will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a secure bubble mailer to ensure it arrives safely.
Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?
If your order hasn't shipped yet, contact me immediately with the updated address and I'll do my best to accommodate the change. However, please note that once an address is changed, I can no longer be held responsible for delivery issues related to the modified address. Always double-check your shipping information before completing your purchase.
What if my system doesn't work when it arrives?
If your system doesn't work upon opening your package, please contact me within 3 days of receiving it. You'll need to provide detailed information, photos, and/or video documenting the issue. I'll review what you've provided, and if validated, you'll return the system to me. Once I receive and further validate the issue, I'll process your refund. All systems are thoroughly tested before shipping, so genuine hardware failures are rare.
Can I return or exchange my system?
I do not accept returns or exchanges. Each listing includes detailed photos and descriptions so you know exactly what you're getting before purchase. Please review listings carefully before ordering. The only exception is for systems that are dead on arrival (see DOA policy above).
How do I care for my 3DS?
Treat your 3DS like any gaming device: keep it clean, avoid extreme temperatures, and store it safely when not in use. A carrying case is recommended for protection. Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals.
